Heart bpm and Music bpm (tempo)

Although this study done at Harvard states that there is no definate results of music having much of an effect on the heart or cardiovascular system and I have no scientific evidence I believe that subconsiously tempo has the strength to control your entire circulatory system. As I’m writng this I’m listening to music that is around 125 bpm which is just over my heart rate. this is allowing me to type faster and with a pattern, increasing the speed of my typing. However now that I’m focusing on it i’m consiously trying to keep up with the rhythm which is messing up the pattern. Maybe because these results were so focused on seeing if music is healing the concious rather tahn unconcious mind was detecting it.

Laszlo Moholy-Nagy

He was influenced by ideas of construction. I quite like this It kind of shows complex ideas in its simplest forms. He also tried to incorporate technology. Although this is simplified I feel like it holds little structure visually.

This one probably holds the most structure and pattern.

Foundations of Human Memory – Michael Jacob Kahana

The cover of this book even contains the subtle workings of research without being over powering, I’ve had this book out for a month and only just noticed it.

Memory and thoughts hold a chain like structure.

If you repeat something the more likely it is to stay in your memory or episodic memory; especially if its a positive memory. Since thoughts contain a chain like structure and containing different shifts. If we all focused on the same type of shift could we theoretically cha nge the shift in our environments?

agreement and rejection of thought; process of elimination as well as a chain structure.

Thought like everything else holds a chaos-like structure.

Joseph Beuys

When I went on the trip to Berlin I saw some of Beuys’ work at the Hamburger Bahn Hoff. He worked on chalkboards, I plan to replicate this but with chalkboard paint rather than an actual chalkboard. Also the chalkboard work will be the foundation of my work unlike Beuys.

My background

Combineing all the research I’ve done.

Wassily Kandinsky

In a way I’d say that Kandinsky’s work is the definition of chaos. I like that it holds a structure . but only one that he can interpret fully. He does this with music. I’d like to look at this but as Feynman’s work presents the world as a sea of waves, I’d like to create work that shows these waves but in everything.

An attempt at dialogue – a painting I saw at an open exhibition portraying communiction.

Hilma Af Klimt

Another artist that has her own language, with theosophical influences. She is said to have been in touch with ghosts who would tell her what to paint. What’s interesting is that her work contains this same circle structure throughout her work as the scientific artworks do.

I like that you dont have to understand it to appreciate it though.

The Physics of Jazz – Stephon Alexander

Complicated original diagram of Robbie Colrane’s mandala.
Only showing the C major pentatonic scale so its lost a lot of its information though the main foundations of the shape are there.
Lost the majority of the information that its really showing something quite different though still relating to the original.
The drawn structure of the pentatonic scale is also used in mathematics, only looking at different information. This is only a small example of how everything is connected. Another? Its a small world.

In this page Alexander discusses: music, quantum cosmology, a blacksmith’s shop, mathematical ratios, planetary motion. showing more connections whether directly or indirectly, they’re still there.

Discovery of cosmic microwave background radiation.
Explaining how expansion could lead to the end
Main colour would have been cosmic latte/beige/yellow as the universe remained stationary with its undisturbed primordial soup. disturbance caused the red shift.
Red to blue shift.
Higher frequencies like the violin are harder to dampen.
could the dampening of the Big Bang be the cause of the CMB

Looking at the waves

I plan to use black boards and chalk alluding to how a lot of scientist used to do their workings.
A Feynmann Diagram showing how everything is constructed using of waves
